Today, for some reason, I thought of a line of poetry I’ve loved since first reading it — “…all times I have enjoyed, greatly,…”  The line repeated itself in my head, so I printed out the poem, Tennyson’s “Ulysses,” to look at it again.
The narrator, Ulysses, is an old man, lamenting his ever-advancing age after a life filled with adventure.
I reached the line that beckoned me, and came to a full stop before I was able to continue  — “Come, my friends, ‘tis not too late to seek a newer world….,” a thought that speaks to all of us who can still breathe.  And further – “Tho much is taken, much abides… that which we are, we are….”
Wonderful stuff….
