The power of creation is immense. I think not many fathers experience the transforming happening at the birth of a child that a mother does. Myth attempts to diminish the experience. Maybe that transformance is a root of man’s ambivalence toward the female, why he struggles, always, for dominance. Or, maybe it has to do with those darling little beings taking the place he thought was his in the woman’s heart.
